What Did The People Think of the Plague?

The people thought that it was a horrible punishment for the persons sins and that it was sent down from the gods. They wore leather masks to prevent getting infected by the deadly infected air(it had herbs in it.). The people blamed the plague on the cripples, nobles, and Jews. The Jews were persecuted and murdered. The fear of the plague led to the people being more passoinate religous.

I can't see how some of these people could have lived through all this mess. It would be very hard to not see what's going on when it's right in front of your face. All theae people dieng like rain dropping from the sky each second. All I can say is WOW what a terrible, terrible crisis happened during this time.

  1. I didn't know that people thought that the plague was a punishment. That lead them to wearing weird masks.
